It was a happy Monday afternoon this week when the library received a cheque for £1,108.38 from the Loughborough Building Society.

Barrow Community Library have arranged an Affinity Savings Account with The Loughborough Building Society. Many volunteers at the library, and users of the library, have opened Barrow Community Library savings accounts. This is the sixth year running that we achieved our target of more than 25 savings accounts open. This has triggered a bonus payment to the library of 1% of the total amount saved in these accounts on 31st March 2023.

The bonus payment is a valuable contribution to the costs of running the library.

Thanks go to all supporters of the library who have opened a savings account.
